I come from Brooklyn to Gandom to buy sangak and other Persian products. The owner is very nice and friendly. I hope to go another time during the week to buy other products like Barberi bread and home cooked food.

The quality of their bread (Sangak, Barbari, Taftoon, and more) is absolutely amazing — far better than anything we’ve had anywhere else, even in Iran! And it’s not just about the bread — Mrs. Javadi is such a kind and caring lady who makes sure no one ever misses their order. She’s truly the best!
Make sure to call ahead if you want fresh bread. They also sell a variety of other products in the store — Iranian, Middle Eastern, and more — that you might be interested in.

I’ve been a customer of Gandom Bakery for a few years. They offer variety of delicious Persian breads, their Sangak bread is just the best.I always buy 10 Sangak (you have to call and order in advance) and save in freezer. Warm up a couple of slices in the morning and it goes nicely with Feta cheese, walnuts and Persian tea. They also sell all sorts of items required for a Persian kitchen, including spices, nuts, dried herb, pickles, Persian tea, you name it. Great customer service and hospitality too. They always deliver high quality of products with reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

You can find here freshly baked Sangak (for $5) like nowhere else! If you want more than 5 sangak bread, try to order it by phone 2-3 hours beforehand to minimize the waiting.
They also bake fresh Barbari (2 for $5) and Taftoon (5 for 5$).
They also will deliver more than 10 sangak bread and will charge for shipping cost, but if you are living far in any NY boroughs, Long Island or neighbor states, it would worth it.

I come here regularly for their amazing Persian breads. Their Sangak is great but also recently I got their Barbary bread and it really surprised me since it tastes and feels exactly like the authentic Barbary you can only find in Iran. I am very thankful to Gandom Bakery for perfecting their art and providing these great products in this area.

I follow Sonya Sed on TikTok and she eats sangak everyday and I’ve been dreaming of finding it ! I was so shocked to see a whole store dedicated to sangak so close to me ! I’m Palestinian so it was my first time trying sangak!
The Bread is fantastic. Soft, filled with sesame and black seed ! I toast it in air fryer and eat it with everything from feta cheese to wrapping my kebabs in it.
The reviews that say you need to order ahead must be for large orders. I was able to walk in off the street and get two packs of sangak that were all ready and sliced and packaged in 2 minutes. Each bag of sangak was $7 (which is one entire flatbread cut up)
The sangak bread is presliced into square sections and placed in bags . If you’re looking for whole sangak I think you have to order ahead. I like that it’s precut because I freeze it and the size is perfect . Whenever I’m having breakfast I take out three pieces and place in my air fryer and toast it . Yummmmm
Nice Persian supermarket staples to choose from as well . I even saw lavashak! Another viral TikTok food!

This place is both a bakery and an Iranian grocery store. They bake fresh sangak bread, which I get from here regularly.
I also buy fresh herbs, pickles, and most of my Iranian products from this store. Everything is very fresh and they carry good-quality brands.
The owner is kind and professional. I highly recommend this place.
